Fully marked to base as shown. No silver line or red dot seconds marking – so proving this is a first quality item.

No chips or cracks and no detectable restoration we can ascertain.

Moorcroft pottery is completely hand-made and hand-painted in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England and as such no two pieces are ever exactly the same. They have very high quality standards and grade all their pieces into First/Best quality and Graded/Seconds. Those of Graded/Seconds are still of a high quality but will have some minor (often almost undetectable) flaw such as a small piece of tube-lining missing or a bubble in the glaze. Please note we do not attempt to describe any blemish that happened during the production process – we only comment on those that have occurred since production. We publish several images of the actual item listed so you can satisfy yourselves of the quality before purchasing.
